Ny Rabe is created and made by Stileex Pictures, a creative and animation studio based in Ambatobe, Antananarivo, Madagascar. The studio also created JesusBYS, an animated universe followed all over the world.
Made in house, by young Malagasy creatives
Every Ny Rabe story is written, drawn, animated and voiced in the studio, by a team of fifteen creatives working under one roof. Ny Rabe is made by Malagasy people, for Malagasy people, and its motto is to lift up what is made in Madagascar.
From script to screen
The scripts are written in French, then the stories are drawn, animated, coloured and voiced in Malagasy, the way people speak in the streets of Antananarivo. The studio describes its ten steps, from the first idea to the archive, on The production line.
Meet the team
The team behind Ny Rabe introduces itself in a backstage video on nyrabe.com: Ny ekipa ao ambadiky Ny Rabe ("The team behind Ny Rabe"). The studio also shares its craft in the tutorials of nyrabe.com, lessons in drawing and animating with Krita.
