Ny Rabe is the animated universe of Madagascar: the everyday life of the Rabe family in Antananarivo, told with humour and tenderness in animated shorts, gags, artwork and music, in Malagasy. Its home is nyrabe.com.

Who are the Rabe?

Ny Rabe, "the Rabe" in Malagasy, is the life story of the Rabe family, who live in Ambalavato, a working-class neighbourhood of Antananarivo. These are funny stories you always want to come back to, created by young Malagasy people, in which everyone can recognise themselves and their own character. They tell what happens in Malagasy society every day, the things any of us might do.

The whole family is there, from the children to the parents and all the way to the grandmother, and the dog and the zebu, each with their own sense of humour, are part of the family too. The heroine is Tsiky, the eldest daughter, a young single mother with big dreams.
