All the programs of ALTERNATIVES Madagascar are aimed at youth development, and all its actions are social and non-profit.

## ESPOIR 2.0

A program to create decent jobs and set up a Village Saving and Loan Association (VSLA) for female sex workers from different regions of Madagascar: managing income-generating activities, feminist leadership, sexual and reproductive health and rights, the fight against HIV. The “ESPOIR BOOTCAMP” capitalised its results in eight hubs, during the Global Entrepreneurship Week and the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. ## Leading Change

A three-month transformational leadership program for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds: leadership and personal development, micro-project creation and professional insertion, sexual and reproductive health, the fight against stigma and discrimination, digital communication and advocacy. ## UPROOT

In partnership with The PACT, ALTERNATIVES scored the country performance to advocate for better laws and policies, a health outcomes partnership and the meaningful participation of adolescents and youth in policy forums, notably on access to self-testing for young people and the age of consent for HIV testing. ## URBAN YOUTH CORPS

A volunteer program where young people from the capital city gain professional experience in the service of the vulnerable population, particularly in solving social problems. [Program page](https://alternatives-mada.com/en/liha-raiky-en/)

## Advocacy Leadership Institute (ALI)

A program that builds the capacity of civil society organisations to monitor the application of human rights and to cooperate in advocacy efforts, notably through the “shadow report” presented to the UN Committees during the universal periodic review, and through partnership frameworks with local authorities.
